Robert Johnson is King of the Delta Blues. He wandered the country and into Canada playing music in the 1920’s and 1930’s. He told people the devil was on his trail. He spoke of Hell Hounds and meeting the devil at midnight. He would hit on the ugliest woman he could find, thinking she’d be the easiest. His sole heir’s claim was established in federal court with an elderly woman recounting how she watched while Robert Johnson and her friend did the deed in a wooded lot eighty years before… This guy is the man. Not only was he one of the founding fathers of modern American music, he also had a detailed analysis of his sexual performance documented by a federal jury! He had style, but unfortunately died at 27, possibly poisoned or possibly bad moonshine.
