Slint is math rock/ post rock from that era of emotional music, the early 1990’s. Only two albums were made, but they were also on the soundtrack to the Kids movie, which I am likely the only one of my generation who wasn’t seen that movie.
At moment I really dig the delay of this album and the songs, and then there will be a moment when the vocals will come through too powerfully and spoil the song with cheese. Nosferatu Man was pretty good with an appealing mix of spoken word and mellow and meandering instrumental.
Pretty good, and yet another band I’d not heard of that’s been around for years… Most of the “advances” of global communication are pretty damn annoying but instant access to all the world’s music is pretty cool.
