Experimental Black Metal, Circle of Ouroborus is a Finnish band that doesn’t “sound” like anyone but themselves. It is a distinct sound; lo fi, but clean, erie and haunting with clear experimental rock and Finnish folk influences intricate black metal guitar pieces. They have a lengthy discography and this release doesn’t dissapoint, easily one of this year’s better albums, 89%.
After a hiatus I am back to posting again, been busy at work and there has not been a lot of music coming out that I would term “inspirational”. Or maybe I was just being lazy since it is more work finding free albums now. Either way new posts will be starting next week.
I remember watching this best of 411 over and over and over again at this kid Andy’s house, easily one of my favorite videos of all time. Eighteen years later the tricks aren’t as mind-blowing, the video looks the way old black metal albums sound, but it’s still a classic.
