65daysofstatic is another band that gained a large degree of fame through appearing on DJ Peel’s show. A math rock band names after a Central American coup. The band is hit and miss really, but this album is a hit and a good example of the band in general, enjoy, 85%.
dl We Were Exploding Anyway (2010)
65daysofstatic released a new album last month and it is mediocre to say the least. While it is their signature math rock sound, there is too much use of synthesizers and it seems to have fallen flat overall, as if they became victims of their own success, 79%.
65daysofstatic is an instrumental math rock/shoegaze band from Sheffield, England. Their name is from the 1954 CIA lead coup in Guatemala. Talk about a glourious waste of tax-payer dollars.
What genius decided to spend money starting a coup in Latin America??? Really?! That’s like sending ice makers to Alaska! Whoever came up with that one is obviously not used to funding their own ideas. That’s why taxes are so high! The cost efficient way to start a civil war in a Latin American country is obviously to leave an old lowered Toyota with Pep Boys rims in the capitol city with the keys in it.
Anyway, the band is pretty good.
