The Dandy Warhols- The Black Album

The Dandy Warhols, The Black Album is my favorite, released in 2004 as a double album (Come on Feel the Dandy Wartime[cover songs] being the other half), oddly enough it is material that Capitol records rejected years before (Wiki). I am fond of the unpolished sound this displays compared to the much cleaner The Dandy Warhols Come Down.
I will admit that because of the Dig! movie that I refused to listen to the Dandy Warhols and considered them a “guilty pleasure” for long after I did start listening to them, however Wiki does label them as power-pop and neo-psychedelic so my prejudices are explained at least.

Dandy Warhols- This Machine 2012

This is The Dandy Warhols newest album, This Machine, just came out on April 24th.  The video is great, oozing pichouli and west coast hipsterism with simple effects and quality cinematography fitting the song perfectly.  The whole album is good, one that everyone will still listen to twenty years from now. SpaceC deemed it “very stoney” and I feel it fits into the  “put-on-repeat-and-let-play” category. Enjoy.
